Clerk’s recommendation: - To keep the allotment and field rents unchanged as they are in line with the total receipts and payments for 2023/2024
Agenda item 2024.138 – In Touch Advertising Rates & Costs
Clerk’s recommendation: - To keep the advertising rates unchanged. The advertising rates were increased last year and a modest increase this year would make little difference. The Parish Council has historically subsidised the costs of the In Touch Magazine to keep this for the benefit of the community providing updates from local groups. To be reviewed again for the 2026/2027 Budget.
Agenda item 2024.139: - Flood Resilience: Storage bins for sand bags. Highways do not supply storage bins for this purpose. They advise that filled sandbags have a lifespan of 6 months before they rot from absorbing moisture. They advise that sand and sandbags are stored separately and are bagged up when a big weather event is forecast. Highways are not legally required to distribute sandbags to homeowners. It is the responsibility of the householder to protect their property from natural events such as flooding and high winds.
